Home Infusion Collections Specialist

A leading provider in Home Infusion therapy, Amerita, is seeking a skilled Collection Group Leader to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. As a core member of the Collection team, you will be responsible for the collection of all Accounts Receivable, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurances, and patient balances. This role involves ensuring daily accomplishments work towards company goals for cash collections and Accounts Receivable over 90 days.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, with a strong working knowledge of Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement, and Cash Applications. Additionally, experience in the Home infusion industry is a plus. You will be a solid Microsoft Office user, with a strong focus on Word, Excel, and Outlook. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to interact effectively with internal and external customers.

As a key member of the Collection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely payment of claims and the overall financial success of the organization.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring collection department complies with established company criteria for timeliness and accuracy of billing and collections.
- Researching outstanding balances and taking necessary collection action to resolve in a timely manner.
- Reviewing insurance remittance advices for accuracy and identifying billing errors, short payments, over payments, unpaid claims, and resolving accordingly.
- Monitoring payer websites regularly for updates and communicating accordingly.
- Performing Quality Assurance audits for proper management of A/R and evaluation of collector performance.
