Job Summary:

The Kroger Company is seeking a skilled Department Leader to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our grocery department. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control supply expenses for the department to optimize profitability.
  • Manage cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Schedule Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage and ensure seamless customer service.
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and other financial reports.
  • Develop and implement department action plans to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a retail or grocery environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with team members and customers.
