Restaurant Manager Assistant Job Description

As a key member of our restaurant management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily opening and closing procedures of the restaurant
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
  • Schedule shifts and assign table sections to waitstaff to ensure optimal service and customer satisfaction
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Oversee payroll activities, including accurate and timely payment of staff
  • Ensure the restaurant adheres to all health and safety regulations
  • Procure necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment as needed
  • Source better deals on resources and equipment to optimize costs
  • Monitor and record all income and expenses, ensuring accurate cash register balancing at the end of each shift
  • Perform other job-related duties and tasks as directed by Senior Management
  • Bonus: Experience with Toast POS System is a plus

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
