Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support clients aged 10 to 17 in a residential program setting.
  • Act as the primary contact for managing assigned shifts in a residential environment.
  • Responsibilities include facility upkeep, meal service, and supervising clients during outings and daily activities.
  • Perform various tasks and activities as needed.
  • Ensure precise and timely management of clerical and record-keeping duties.
  • Evaluate and respond to potential critical situations during shifts, consulting with the Residential Director as necessary.
  • Serve as a role model for appropriate behaviors and social interactions.
  • Maintain operational efficiency during shifts, including staffing, documentation, and adherence to policies.
  • Provide direct oversight for residents, including scheduling and assisting with chores.
  • Report any unusual behaviors that may indicate underlying issues.
  • Enforce order and discipline among residents, employing Crisis Intervention techniques when trained.
  • Monitor residents' locations and alert authorities if they leave without permission.
  • Facilitate group discussions and organize recreational activities.
  • Complete monitoring notes, incident reports, and client case documentation.
  • Manage clerical tasks associated with the intake process for new residents.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or an Associate’s degree is preferred; a minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with adolescents is required. Experience in a residential setting is advantageous. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Physical Requirements: This role demands a high level of physical activity, including the ability to run, jump, bend, and stand for extended periods (2+ hours), as well as lift and carry over 50 pounds. Regional travel may be necessary for training and transport.
