Position Summary:The role involves acting as the primary case manager and evaluator for various case types, including but not limited to FOIA, litigation, and appeals. The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of cases and will be responsible for reviewing and meticulously analyzing document content in accordance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the management and evaluation of cases related to information requests.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of documents, adhering to relevant legal frameworks.
- Draft and formulate responses to information requests, collaborating with a dynamic team to ensure comprehensive information delivery.
- Prepare and manage various correspondence including response letters and requests for information.
- Engage with counterparts from other government agencies to finalize responses and release decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of FOIA, Privacy Act, and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review programs.
- Experience in utilizing proprietary systems and tools for effective case evaluation.
- Strong background in the intelligence community with developed analytical skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work while being adaptable to ad hoc responsibilities.
- Proficiency in essential software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Access.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, organizational skills, and effective time management.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required, with specific experience clearly outlined.
- Educational qualifications include an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in a relevant field, translating to 2, 3, or 5 years of experience, respectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in collaborative environments.
- Excellent time management and customer service abilities are a must.
