Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the declassification process of documents related to litigation cases, ensuring strict confidentiality and adherence to Executive Order 13526 and Freedom of Information Act laws.
  • Record the chronological order of events from beginning to end process, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct desktop research to analyze results, determine the relevance of a new search, and provide recommendations for the release of documents.
  • Act as a liaison for Other Government Agencies (OGAs) involved in the process, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Manage the referral process, organizing documents for declassification review and assigning them to the proper equity holder.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance and Polygraph
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, including police enforcement, security, and court systems
  • Strong work ethic, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in online tools such as Word, Excel, and Access, as well as other required systems
