Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person or virtual coaching and training to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), caregivers, and family members.
  • Assist agency personnel in the development, execution, and evaluation of Clinical Treatment Plans or equivalent behavior support strategies, including coaching on skill enhancement, data collection, and fidelity assessments.
  • Collaborate with DSPs and their supervisors to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies for treatment plan implementation.
  • Present visual summaries of treatment effectiveness to caregivers, family members, and DSPs during meetings.
  • Exhibit positive behavioral support techniques and respond to emergencies as per training.
  • Support Functional Behavior Assessments or other clinical evaluations as directed by the clinical supervisor.
  • Engage in provider wraparound or consultation meetings, sharing assessment findings and recommending best practices.
  • Provide crisis de-escalation support to teams as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Director and team members regarding individual and provider support activities.
  • Attend all required agency, departmental, and client-specific meetings.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the appropriate authorities as mandated by state regulations.
  • Adhere to all organizational standards to ensure the health, safety, and confidentiality of all individuals served.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Ability to effectively train others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old;
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, or a related field from an accredited institution;
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with IDD and/or behavioral health diagnoses;
  • Current BLS CPR and Basic First Aid certification;
  • Certification in crisis de-escalation and physical management training, such as Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Proficient in computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in one or more of the following languages: English/Spanish; English/Mandarin; English/Korean; English/Tagalog.
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
