Position Overview
The Research Financial Analyst is tasked with developing, managing, and operationalizing all facets of research financials.
  • Responsible for creating and overseeing all research financials, including study budget negotiations, coverage analysis, billing reviews in EMR, and invoicing for study-related procedures.
  • Handles all financial transactions and maintains financial tracking for the Office of Research Administration.
  • Interprets and communicates trends in research and research billing, collaborating with research and IT teams to translate these trends into effective solutions, enhancements, and implementations aligned with national IT initiatives and organizational strategies.
  • Acts as an advisor and participant in the organization’s efforts to manage financial data within the research framework.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education.
  • Completion of CareConnect training within associated applications (within 60 days of hire) and Epic Research Certification (to be obtained within six months to one year of hire) is required.
  • A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the above educational requirements.
Skills Required
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Intermediate proficiency in using the Internet and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills to enhance the experience for stakeholders.
  • Proficient in basic computer functions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking abilities to independently resolve issues.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage challenging situations with tact.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
