About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing individualized instruction and support to help them meet their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to create a positive and productive learning environment, implementing strategies to support student engagement and motivation.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Regularly monitor student progress, providing feedback and recommendations to teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Manage Student Behavior: Implement strategies to promote positive student behavior, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Communicate with Parents and Staff: Communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure students receive consistent support and guidance, working together to address any challenges or concerns that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
