Job Title: Senior Application Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to support our CDC client as a Senior Application Programmer.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the architectural development, planning, deployment, and administration of Microsoft 365 and other related technologies. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with security and technology standards, and developing and maintaining web and application site pages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Microsoft 365 Development and Administration:
    • Support the ongoing architectural development, planning, deployment, and administration of Microsoft 365, including staging, test, and development environments.
    • Coordinate and communicate across the internal developer community.
  • Compliance and Standards Adherence:
    • Ensure solutions adhere to and comply with applicable security and technology standards, such as Section 508 and agency best practices.
    • Plan, coordinate, and implement updates to existing production solutions as new standards are released.
  • Web and Application Development:
    • Support the development and editing of Microsoft 365, web, and application site pages using technologies and languages such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, ServiceNow, and Archer.
  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop project plans, including tasks, milestones, and target dates for future solution upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
    • Lead efforts to develop scope and objectives, including schedules, resource estimates, and status reporting for each phase of the system lifecycle.
  • Production Solution Stability:
    • Ensure resulting production solutions are stable, reliable, and highly available by design.
    • Correct production flaws within 24 hours of identification, unless technology limitations impact remediation efforts.
  • Technical Support and Guidance:
    • Provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance, instruction, and technical support to OCIO technicians and staff related to solutions implemented using Microsoft 365 Applications, Archer, ServiceNow, and similar technologies.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Experience with Section 508 compliance and agency best practices.
    • Experience in application programming and development, preferably within a government or healthcare environment.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Certifications:
    • Cybersecurity Certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.).
