About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Federal Application Developer to join our team at IBM Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications for generative AI projects
  • Employ IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability
  • Work with a variety of relational databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (AngularJS, React, Bootstrap, and JQuery)
  • Create everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a viable product
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • MA, MBA, MPA, MPP or MS at time of start
  • Relocation to the Washington, DC Metro Area
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%
  • Masters in Data Science, Data Engineer, Computer Science or similar field
  • Prior consulting &/or relevant work experience in one of the following industries: Federal, State & Local Government
  • Aptitude for technology tools and applications
  • Experience or certification working in the Agile method and/or Six Sigma
