About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director - Architecture to join our team at HNTB Corporation. As a key member of our architecture practice, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and providing exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on mega projects exceeding $3,000,000 in revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure project success, including coordination of administrative and technical efforts.
  • Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum satisfaction.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to less experienced project managers.
  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs, as well as HNTB's budget and schedule.
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts for complex projects.
  • Coordinate work efforts, review work performed, and ensure quality management.
  • Act as a champion for the team, responsible for hiring, firing, promotion, discipline, performance review, work allocation, training, and mentoring of staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Primary focus will include collaborating with Market Sector leadership to lead pursuit teams, preparing technical sections of proposals, identifying future pursuits, leading and executing project management plans, and managing and delivering mega or super mega projects.
  • Preferred qualifications and skills include minimum 15 years of experience on aviation architecture projects, recognized Project Manager in the aviation industry, Registered Architect, NCARB, LEED AP, excellent verbal and writing skills, experience leading and managing teams, understanding of terminal programming and planning, and experience managing contracts for large terminal design.
