Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer II MEP to join our team at Southland Industries. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for supporting the project team on several smaller or larger complex projects and serving as a lead technical resource on smaller projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
  • Manage change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide interpretation of plans and specifications to ensure project success.
  • Assemble and submit complete project documentation packages.
  • Procure equipment, materials, and services, and participate in subcontractor selection and hiring.
  • Analyze and resolve complex project-related questions and problems.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in MEP project engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and general system operations.
  • Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office products.
