About You

We are seeking a seasoned MEP Project Manager to join our team at Lease Crutcher Lewis. As a seasoned professional in the construction industry, you will leverage your expertise to mentor and guide others, drive problem-solving, and foster growth.

About the Position

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in general contracting management, with a focus on MEP scopes
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in preconstruction planning, estimating, subcontractor bidding, and scheduling
  • A solid understanding of Timberline, Primavera, or MS Project, and/or Bluebeam
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in leading teams
Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities

As a MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading assigned marketing and business development activities, coordinating with the Marketing Manager to avoid client interface interference
  • Reviewing and responding to assigned RFPs
  • Maintaining relationships with past clients, especially during periods without current projects
  • Building relationships with new clients and alerting senior leaders of upcoming opportunities
Project Management (Preconstruction Phase)

You will be responsible for:

  • Directing all aspects of the construction project, coordinating and managing estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, construction, and quality assurance activities
  • Examining construction documents for constructability, completeness of information, design deficiencies, and code violations, advising the Project Engineer on shortcomings for resolution with the design engineer
  • Reviewing and approving bids and budgets, having a complete understanding of the project estimate
  • Having complete knowledge of the contract, general conditions, and subcontract documents
  • Establishing administrative procedures for the project regarding personnel, contracts, and construction
MEP Project Management (Construction Phase)

You will be responsible for:

  • Project expertise on MEP scopes of work
  • Communicating instructions and maintaining efficient project management systems, subcontractor controls, scheduling techniques, and material handling
  • Reviewing and approving all subcontractor and supply agreement drafts and owner change orders
  • Approving all subcontractor, supplier, and material invoices for payment, ensuring that applications for payment are promptly submitted, payments are received, and funds are properly disbursed
  • Coordinating and supervising job cost and labor detail reporting on a regular basis, collaborating with the Project Superintendent and field foreperson
  • Being knowledgeable, adhering to, and promoting all company policies
  • Keeping the Project Executive and Director informed on all significant matters, including progress, safety, financial status, and relationships
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with the owner and architect/engineers
  • Being responsible for all follow-up services on the project after completion, including punchlist items, warranty calls, and other service requests from the client
