About the Role

As a Hotel Night Auditor, you will be responsible for completing end-of-day activities, including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and rolling the date. You will process all payment types, such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Your tasks will also include processing adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges. Additionally, you will print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of an emergency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell rooms/accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability.
  • Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guests of any messages.
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report.
  • Process all guest check-ins and assign rooms.
  • Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
  • Count bank at end of shift and secure bank.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, and inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all materials prior to use.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None required.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
