Job Summary:

We are seeking a Climate Intern to join our team at Bread for the World, Inc. As a Climate Intern, you will support our climate strategy efforts, including researching and analyzing climate-related policies, developing educational materials, and collaborating with team members to advance racial equity and social justice. This internship provides opportunities for supervised learning, personal development, and gain work experience in a dynamic and mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on climate change and its impact on food security
- Assist with implementing climate strategy through coalition meetings, climate events, and educational programming
- Develop written materials, such as memos and publications, on climate change and its effects
- Collaborate with team members to advance racial equity and address social justice issues related to hunger and poverty

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, policy, or a related field
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Ability to present findings to various audiences
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in promoting awareness about climate change

Work Environment:
This internship can be based in Washington, D.C. or remotely, depending on the candidate's preference. We are a hybrid organization that values flexibility and work-life balance.
