Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Management Specialist I to provide non-clinical support to the Medical Management and/or Operations areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of managed care and/or Medicaid/Medicare, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather clinical information regarding cases and determine appropriate areas to refer or assign cases.
- Provide information regarding network providers or general program information when requested.
- Assist with complex cases and act as a liaison between Medical Management and/or Operations and internal departments.
- Maintain and update tracking databases and prepare reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year experience.
- Understanding of managed care and/or Medicaid/Medicare is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a huge plus.
