Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, boxes, conduits, feeders, panels, commercial switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and other electrical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members.
  • Trench for electrical underground installations.
  • Test electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to identify issues and ensure system safety.
  • Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
  • Determine the necessary steps to assess electrical situations using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.
  • Trench and install underground PVC and overhead EMT.
