Position Overview:

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is actively seeking a dedicated Infection Control Registered Nurse. This role is essential in enhancing and restoring patient health through effective management and strategic planning within the patient care environment. The Infection Control RN will lead and develop nursing staff, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and provide essential support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold nursing operational standards by contributing valuable insights to strategic initiatives; implement quality and customer service benchmarks; troubleshoot issues; and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
  • Establish rapport with patients and stakeholders to accurately determine service needs.
  • Maintain nursing protocols by drafting and revising policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Oversee patient care by organizing and delegating nursing tasks; ensure follow-up on outcomes.
  • Foster a compassionate atmosphere by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
  • Provide comprehensive information to patients and the healthcare team by addressing inquiries and requests.
  • Address patient needs through collaborative strategies with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment by developing and enforcing procedures and regulations; seek assistance from other healthcare professionals when needed.
  • Safeguard patients and staff by formulating and enforcing infection control policies and procedures; ensure compliance with medication management and safety regulations.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and uphold operational integrity by monitoring the handling of sensitive information.
  • Document patient care services accurately by reviewing patient and departmental records.
  • Guarantee the functionality of medical and administrative equipment by verifying the availability of emergency tools; conduct preventive maintenance; troubleshoot issues; and maintain equipment inventories.
  • Manage nursing supply inventory by analyzing usage trends; anticipate needs; and approve requisitions.
  • Promote teamwork among healthcare professionals by sharing information, responding to requests, and engaging in collaborative problem-solving.

Strong judgment, effective supervision, communication skills, nursing expertise, ability to create a safe and efficient environment, experience in a hospital setting, teamwork capabilities, active listening, and pain management proficiency.
