Role Summary:

  • Adhere to the 75-mile radius policy.
  • Work 12-hour day shifts.
  • Overtime compensation after 48 hours.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • New York State nursing license mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; prior travel nursing experience preferred.
  • Focus on adult patients; pediatric care is not included.
  • Common patient conditions include post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Epic, is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to float to other units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient health status and create tailored care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and patient information accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding health issues and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure precise patient record-keeping and timely documentation.
  • Respond to emergency situations with appropriate care interventions.
