About the Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the production applications are reliable and efficient. Your key responsibilities will include setting up and configuring monitoring systems, responding to events and incidents, and investigating root causes. You'll work closely with our team to implement strategies to eliminate issues and improve service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of Splunk Observability Cloud platform
  • Instrumentation of Java, NodeJS, React based applications for APM, IM, RUM, etc.
  • Introduce enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation improving availability in a multi-cloud ecosystem
  • Build and manage systems, infrastructure, and applications through automation
  • Deploy, support, and monitor new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise during service impacting events
  • Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure improvements, and process enhancements
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as JIRA
  • Consistent track record of troubleshooting and resolving issues in live production environments
  • Experience with Observability/Monitoring technologies like Splunk Observability Cloud (formerly known as SignalFx)
  • Driven approach to continually improving service levels
  • Experience with one or more Cloud Platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, especially with Azure or GCP
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including management
  • Strong team or technical leadership experience
  • Incident Management System experience
  • Configuration Management Tools experience
