Position Summary
The Maintenance Engineer II plays a crucial role in ensuring that the store's physical infrastructure and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. This position involves executing preventative maintenance, as well as addressing emergency and routine repairs across various systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on all relevant systems and equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment.
- Document all inspections, maintenance, and repairs to comply with regulatory standards.
- Maintain EPA Universal Certification and stay informed on legislation related to refrigerant handling and environmental regulations.
- Be available for various shifts, including nights and weekends, as dictated by operational needs.
- Adhere to loss prevention protocols and procedures.
- Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing work environments and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates with HVAC expertise and EPA certification.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and codes.
- Willingness to travel between multiple locations as needed.
- Position requires extended periods of standing and walking throughout the store.
- May involve physical activities such as reaching, crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
