About the Role:

The Senior Facilities Engineer will be responsible for maintaining facilities, facilities systems, and equipment to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable workplace. This includes training the facilities team in operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities and equipment; moving and installation of equipment and or furniture; and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary installations, repairs, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and the Facilities Shop for project requirements, planning, and installation, ensuring minimal process downtime and alignment with the manufacturing schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with different functional groups/trades in the Facilities Shop to define the scope of work, budget, and schedule for precise execution.
  • Communicate effectively with external engineering consultants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Interact extensively with all functional managers and operating department managers across the site.
  • Clearly communicate and ensure understanding of all operating conditions and environmental specifications required for GMP by all concerned parties.
  • Participate in new facility design teams to provide validation and facilities technical input.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience ± 7 years.
  • Applies superior knowledge of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
  • Develops highly advanced technologies or processes.
  • Thorough understanding of fundamentals in cross-functional areas.
  • Recommends, utilizes, and interprets advanced data.
  • Presents documentation and analysis.
  • Resolves complex problems.
  • Performs tasks in a quality system environment, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Performs and guides activities resulting from assigned or self-initiated work.
  • Leads to innovative applications of existing processes or procedures.
  • Produces work products of major importance to the department and organization.
