Nursing Clinical and Simulation Coordinator

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Clinical and Simulation Coordinator to join our team. This full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary of $74,012.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, implement, and oversee clinical and simulation programs to ensure student learning and program goals are met.
- Act as a liaison between the Nursing Program and affiliating clinical agencies and institutions to foster strong relationships and ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean, Program Chair, and Nursing faculty to develop, implement, and update clinical and simulation activities in accordance with current best practices and accreditation standards.
- Coordinate and schedule student clinical and simulation experiences, monitor attendance, and maintain makeup schedules.
- Work with the Associate Dean to review and research policies and standard practices related to simulation, with a focus on continuous quality improvement and making recommendations.
- Participate in clinical faculty orientation, attend clinical planning meetings, maintain contact with clinical faculty, and conduct clinical site visits to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Explore opportunities for new clinical sites and assist with recruitment of clinical faculty.
- Facilitate clinical site onboarding and compliance for faculty and students.
- Ensure training and operational use of all simulation equipment for students and staff, maintain inventories of simulation equipment and supplies, and formulate budget recommendations.
- A Master's degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing will be considered if the individual is in progress towards a Master's degree in Nursing with attainment expected within four (4) years of hire.
- Must be licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
- Must obtain Certified Health Simulation Education (CHSE) certification within two (2) years of hire.
- Three (3) to four (4) years of nursing experience with two (2) years of hospital-based clinical nursing experience is required.
- Medical, surgical, and simulation experience is preferred. Teaching experience is desired.
- One (1) year of appropriate leadership experience is desired.
