Certified Nursing Assistant 3

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant 3 to join our team at the University of Miami Hospital UTower COVID Unit Nursing 12 South. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal hygiene services to patients, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves.
- Assist with meals and feeding patients, ambulate, turn, and position patients, and provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Administer enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and apply restraints.
- Perform sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care.
- Answer patients' call lights and requests promptly.
- Maintain a safe and attractive environment for patients and staff and transport patients and equipment.
- Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse to ensure professional assessment.
- Measure and record food and liquid intake and output and check and record vital signs.
- Provide patient help with walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Perform minor physical therapy routines.
- Collect urine samples, attach EKG leads, and remove catheters.
- Assemble, monitor, and discontinue feeding of intravenous nutrition.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant license.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Commitment to the University's core values.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
