Job Title: Lead Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to join our team at Info Way Solutions. As a key member of our Systems Operations functional area, you will be responsible for leading complex initiatives and providing high-level systems consultation to our technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead broad impact initiatives, including provision of high-level systems consultation for technology teams
  • Work as a key participant in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions
  • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
  • Consult with engineering teams on change design, requiring a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid-to-more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals
  • Handle medium-level complexity technical support issues, including outage calls and root cause analysis
  • Identify and automate manual steps in support work and SRE initiatives
  • Streamline existing processes in projects and focus on documentation of new issues and resolution steps for knowledge base enhancement
  • Adhere to processes defined in projects and actively participate in team meetings and meetings with stakeholders/internal or external teams
  • Handle shift support independently and seek help for complex tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Applications or related discipline
  • More than 10 years of experience in Application Support using Java technologies
  • Good and sound knowledge on J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Angular
  • Good knowledge on Database, preferably Oracle
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting
  • Experience working with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Big Panda)
  • Understanding about SRE and experience in observability
  • Good hands-on experience in coding/scripting and automation of support tasks
  • Experience in handling technical support issues and automating manual steps, and proven record of ability to do deep dive into RCA analysis and finding solutions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in English and good communication skills
  • Good team player and lead who is capable of handling multiple shifts and guiding teams
  • Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Related Field
  • 5+ years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role, preferably in a hybrid infrastructure & cloud environment
  • 3+ years of development experience in one or more programming languages
  • 3+ years of experience in building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts
  • Proven Technical Expertise with one or more of the following: Automation, Observability, Work Management, OS and Platform
  • Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures
  • Exposure and experience in agile development life cycle
  • Highly motivated person with the ability to learn new technologies hands-on and on-going basis
  • Excellent written communication, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills
