At Skytron, we're committed to improving patient outcomes through innovative solutions in the acute care market. As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain medical equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
  • Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning equipment, using test and analysis instruments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Disassemble and repair or replace defective parts, utilizing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical theory to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
  • Provide remote technical support and diagnostics to external customers, resolving equipment issues and escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain factory certification and proficiency on all servicing product lines.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic low-voltage and media cables, ensuring signal strength and performance.
  • Generate revenue growth by offering solutions aligned with the service portfolio.
  • Perform administrative duties, including service work orders, expense reports, and preventative maintenance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Capable of handling administrative functions and applying knowledge to install, diagnose, and repair medical devices and equipment.
  • Ability to verify work to ensure accurate results and follow work instructions, procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Meet productivity standards, deadlines, and project schedules, communicating effectively with various levels of employees and customers.
  • Be internally motivated, work well with minimal supervision, and be flexible in working hours, including mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Possess a working knowledge of hydraulic and AC/DC electrical systems, functions, and uses, with previous mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Have previous experience related to video and communication media, a good driving record, and a valid driver's license.
  • Be subject to background check and credentialing, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Read and interpret schematics and site drawings without assistance, understanding and applying hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
