Job Title: Tier II /Configuration Management Network Technician

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our growing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting computer data communications systems, providing design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date record of all system components (hardware and software).
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
  • Establish and maintain consistency of a system or product performance, functions, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information.
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests.
  • Coordinate with external Configuration Management stakeholders across the ecosystem where required.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN's, Port Security, Thin Configs).
  • Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in network management and configuration management.
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS OS.
  • Familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
