Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to lead our construction teams in the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear communication and guidance to team members.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects by implementing effective work processes.
  • Perform operational duties as needed, including equipment operation.
  • Utilize construction machinery such as dump trucks and skid loaders.
  • Establish daily production targets and monitor progress.
  • Conduct thorough daily inspections of work sites.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and documentation.
  • Uphold all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Facilitate weekly safety meetings with the team.
  • Complete and submit necessary reports on project status.
  • Set up safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is essential.
  • Experience in the telecommunications field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps and blueprints.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team interaction.
  • Proficient in using locators for utility identification.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and risk management.
  • Basic computer skills are required; familiarity with Google applications is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Possession of an unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is preferred (higher compensation for CDL holders).
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on-call as necessary.
  • Travel may be required for project needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate various terrains.
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with the capacity to lift up to 100 lbs as needed.
  • Engage in physical activities including standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Vision capabilities must include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying weather and temperatures.
  • Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and other environmental factors.
