Job Summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to support our government customer in Washington, DC. This is a full-time onsite position at Fort McNair, Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud computing transitions for legacy systems
  • Develop, test, and implement next-generation systems in a cloud environment
  • Ensure systems are secure and achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC)
  • Implement improvements for speed and usability requirements for searching and indexing a 100+ million document repository, adding required data, basic help desk-like support to ensure system operability, and general system administration and maintenance, including security accreditation
  • Lead efforts to leverage emerging technologies, including Data Lake, mesh networking, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML), to enhance indexing, metadata tagging, administration, management, security, search, access, and usability of the data
Requirements
  • Current active Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT or enterprise architecture-related roles
  • Strong background in Computer operating systems, Programming languages, Networking, and Security
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and solutions, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and cArmy Cloud
  • Demonstrated skills/experience in:
    • Designing, developing, and implementing cloud-computing solutions in a cloud environment
    • Creating ongoing cloud strategies aligned with organizational goals
    • Monitoring, maintaining, and securing cloud applications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
Working Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
