We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Services Provider to join our team at the Squaxin Island Tribe. As a Part-Time Bus Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our community members.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a bus or other vehicle to transport passengers on fixed or deviated scheduled routes and for special events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers by following traffic rules and regulations and using defensive driving techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting passengers with diverse personalities and needs.
- Assist seniors and disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
- Supervise the conduct of passengers while riding the bus.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Complete accurate daily records of trips and passenger behavior.
- Operate office equipment such as computers and printers.
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to pass a Tribal and State background check.
- Must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P1 endorsement.
- Must have a medical certificate and a CPR certificate.
The work environment for this position will involve frequent exposure to vibration and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and hot or cold outdoor weather conditions.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this position include frequent sitting, regular use of hands to finger, handle or feel, and occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, or balancing.
