About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants & Contracts Manager to join our team at the University of Georgia School of Medicine. As a key member of our research administration team, you will be responsible for managing large collaborative grants and contracts, coordinating with principal investigators, and ensuring compliance with grant and contract policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage administrative pre-award tasks related to grant submissions, including coordinating with subrecipients and ensuring timely proposal submissions.
  • Manage and work with subrecipients/subcontracts to ensure that proposal requirements and timelines are met.
  • Provide policy guidance and assistance with all aspects of proposal development, administrative forms, sponsor-required certifications and representations, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with principal investigators on reporting requirements to the study sponsor and work with UGA SPA and UGA SOM Finance on financial tracking of grants for post-award management.
  • Review and approve all grant expenditures and ensure compliance with requirements related to effort reporting.
Requirements
  • Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field and 7+ years of experience in research administration proposal development, including complex budgeting, subawards, and post-award grant management.
  • Experience with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants policy and Uniform Guidance policies and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, attention to detail, and project management skills.
