We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Assign and supervise nursing staff, including licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, and patient care associates.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency care as needed.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of New York.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or higher preferred.
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical, behavioral health, or correctional health nursing.
- Basic Life Support Certification required; ACLS preferred.
