Correctional Health Services Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our team at Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals in our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs and provide education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Coordinate nursing care activities, including assigning staff, communicating with leadership, and ensuring continuity of care.
- Monitor patient medical information, vital signs, and symptoms, and escalate care as necessary.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical, behavioral health, or correctional health nursing.
- Basic Life Support Certification required; ACLS preferred.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills and visual acuity are also essential.
Salary: $100,750 per year
