Geriatric Nurse Specialist

Unit: 6A - Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team in providing high-quality care to older adults facing acute illnesses. As a member of our 6A team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care that supports function, education, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 5 medical patients per shift
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulted physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel
- Engage in relationship-based care, building relationships with patients and families, as well as with your peers
Requirements:
- Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License
- BSN required; ADN candidates must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire date
- One year of experience as an RN
- Gerontology Certification preferred
- BLS required
