Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated HHA to join our team at The Club at Briarcliff Manor. As a key member of our care team, you will provide assistance to residents in our Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
  • Follow the schedule of resident needs set out by supervisor to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Offer emotional and social support to residents, promoting a sense of community and well-being.
  • Document daily logs of assistance to track resident progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate resident issues or concerns to supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents, promoting a culture of compassion and respect.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience working in senior care, with a strong understanding of resident needs and preferences.
  • Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Valid HHA certification, depending on the state, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Basic computer skills to effectively document resident information and communicate with team members.
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful approach to resident care.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, handling multiple tasks safely and efficiently, and making independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations, maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and colleagues.
