Job Summary

This part-time position involves working in a residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting. You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver daily lesson plans to meet the academic needs of students
  • Provide individualized assistance to students, including academic support and guidance
  • Regularly communicate with parents, guardians, and treatment team members about student progress
  • Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Requirements

  • B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
  • Active New York teaching license
  • Comfortable working with 7th-12th grade students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
  • Reliable transportation
