Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Library Page to assist with sorting and re-shelving returned library materials, maintaining the organization of the shelves, and providing excellent customer service to patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and re-shelve returned library materials in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain the organization of the shelves, ensuring that materials are properly sequenced and easily accessible
  • Provide excellent customer service to patrons, answering questions and assisting with locating materials
  • Perform shelf reading and inventory tasks as needed
  • Assist with program support and other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Reliable and detail-oriented individual with excellent concentration and attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately arrange items by alphabetical and/or numerical order
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a helpful and professional manner
  • Knowledge of library systems is a plus
Working Conditions

The Library Page will work in a normal office environment, with occasional exposure to noise and varying temperatures. The position requires constant standing, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, balancing, crouching, grasping, pulling, and crawling. Regularly pushing fully loaded book carts is also required.
