Job Title: RN Sepsis Coordinator

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Sepsis Coordinator at our Mount Vernon Hospital. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday.

About the Role:

The RN Sepsis Coordinator will provide therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, supporting the clinical management of patient care delivery areas. This role requires the ability to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate care delivery for patients with sepsis, while identifying and integrating patients' learning needs, abilities, and readiness to learn into plans of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize current best practices to produce quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate care delivery for patients with sepsis.
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert in the clinical setting, maintaining and promoting standards of care.
  • Use integrated approaches towards achieving desired patient outcomes, supporting Inova Health System's mission and strategic plan.
Requirements:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Location: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital.
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing, with 16 hours in specialized sepsis education.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care, including one year of quality performance improvement experience.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of Virginia; BLS from the American Heart Association.
