Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Inova Alexandria Hospital.
About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our 20-bed ICU. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and a strong background in critical care nursing.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with cardiopulmonary failure, adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing (ADN with BSN completion within 5 years of start date).
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
