Job Title: Ultrasound Technician

At Allen Medical Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data by utilizing high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and review patient history, physical examination, and supporting clinical data to facilitate diagnostic results.
  • Register patients by entering identifying information into the computer and updating the medical database.
  • Determine test procedures by reviewing the purpose of the examination.
  • Comfort patients by explaining procedures and assisting with proper positioning.
  • Ensure test results by selecting transducers and making equipment adjustments according to the nature of the test.
  • Conduct test procedures by moving transducers over specified areas of the body and monitoring movement on the display screen.
  • Make sure the image produced facilitates diagnosis by observing sound wave display screens.
  • Facilitate diagnoses by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
  • Record information by entering test data and patient information into the computer and producing permanent records of test results.
  • Maintain equipment and software by following operating instructions and performing quality control checks.
  • Maintain quality results by establishing and enforcing standards.
  • Maintain legal and accreditation compliance by developing policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
