Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at New York Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Assist with stereotactic biopsies and track inventory and order supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient imaging department.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patients and obtain their cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce high-quality images.
  • Process and review images for proper identification and quality control, practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Orient and train new hires to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of continuous experience in Mammography.
  • Licensed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good computer knowledge and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work daytime weekday hours, with four 10-hour shifts available.
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.
