Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Examinations: Perform and communicate the results of diagnostic examinations using sonographic equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate sonographic equipment independently and maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times.
  • Patient Care: Provide patient care, including care to patients in the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
  • Documentation: Complete required documentation of patient history and examination results.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and radiologists to ensure accurate and timely results.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and graduation from an accredited program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Physics, OB/GYN, ABD, and Vascular Technology (RVT) within 18 months of placement in position.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, with competency in all areas of specialty offered.
  • Skills: Exceptional professional communication, patient care, and customer service skills, with strong eye-hand coordination.
