Ultrasound Tech Job Description

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech to join our team.

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for delivering prompt diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients following the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician instructions.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists and other healthcare providers.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, imaging results, and procedural details.
  • Collaborate effectively with Radiologists and other medical professionals to review images, discuss findings, and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Educate patients about procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns to enhance their understanding and comfort.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited AMA school
  • Must have vascular experience
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Epic experience required
  • BLS required
