Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews and hire site personnel.
  • Review and approve employee timecards and leave requests.
  • Establish work schedules and delegate assignments.
  • Enforce safety protocols and site regulations.
Core Duties:
  • Formulate a project timeline and budget-friendly strategy for completion.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to prepare preconstruction estimates and material budgets.
  • Coordinate the activities of tradespeople and laborers, ensuring clear communication through the project foreperson.
  • Regularly assess work quality and adherence to timelines; provide progress updates to stakeholders and suggest necessary adjustments.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and other relevant parties to comply with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with architectural and engineering plans.
  • Secure necessary permits and licenses; manage construction contracts in accordance with established terms.
  • Monitor project budgets and report any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to project costs and inventory.
  • Address safety violations and other issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to clarify processes and resolve inquiries.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in overseeing diverse teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and implement blueprints and technical drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction laws and site regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality construction practices.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of ten years in the construction industry is required.
  • Experience with federal and government contracts is advantageous.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to navigate all areas of construction sites in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary.
  • Must pass background checks, including criminal, drug, and driving screenings.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
