Position Overview

The Construction Project Supervisor plays a crucial role in the effective scheduling, oversight, and collaboration of all subcontractors, construction teams, and labor forces. This position is essential for ensuring quality and timely construction progress in alignment with the project Master Schedule. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction experience as a Supervisor, demonstrating a successful track record in leading, mentoring, and educating team members. A thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, design documents, and relevant code requirements is vital for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage permit documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Thoroughly review and comprehend subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and uphold overall project safety standards.
  • Regulate project access and manage site traffic.
  • Oversee tool and equipment inventory, coordination, and rental processes.
  • Schedule and maintain records for all project testing and certifications, including concrete and soil assessments.
  • Collaborate daily with Project Manager, Project Construction Manager, and Project Field Engineer regarding project status, subcontractor performance, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare a '3-week look ahead schedule' and update the master schedule in conjunction with the Project Construction Manager.
  • Complete Daily Log Reports using Procore.
  • Maintain 'As Built' drawings for final submission.
  • Coordinate and schedule all project inspections.
  • Ensure proper close-out documentation and final inspections.
  • Conduct quality control checks on installed materials and equipment.
  • Manage site layout and control benchmarks.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction Supervisor; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in project scheduling, planning, organization, and document management.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, particularly in managing subcontractors and inspectors.
  • OSHA Certification with comprehensive knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling tools, and document management systems.

Additional qualifications that may enhance consideration during the evaluation process include:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a construction Supervisor.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6).
  • Involvement in projects exceeding $20 million.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel across the United States.
