Shift:

Days Pay:
$38.70 / hour.

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepares the surgical operating room with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
2. Ensures the proper functioning of equipment and instruments.
3. Assists in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
4. Passes instruments to the physician during surgical operations.

Continuously monitors the count and location of instruments and supplies throughout the procedure.
Processes specimens for laboratory delivery.
Within the scope of the role, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions.

Requirements:

Minimum Required Education:
High School diploma or GED or Military trained.

Required Licensure/Certification:
State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.

Minimum Experience:
6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
