Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to join our team at Magellan Health. As a Personal Financial Counselor, you will provide expert financial guidance and support to military service members and their families at Cannon AFB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families, including one-on-one counseling, group briefings, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement financial education programs to promote financial stability and security among military families.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with installation needs.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision to share information regarding trends and issues on the installations.
  • Participate in regular in-services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; may consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by the contract.
  • Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
