We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to join our team at Magellan Health. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert financial guidance and support to military service members and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families, addressing a range of financial topics and needs.
- Develop and implement effective financial education programs, including workshops, seminars, and one-on-one counseling sessions.
- Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program alignment and effectiveness.
- Provide referrals to external resources and services as needed, ensuring seamless support for clients.
- Manage duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocol.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance professional development and program excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of our team and organization.
- Bachelor's degree required; combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of financial counseling experience.
- Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) certification required.
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Fluent English language skills; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
- Competitive salary range: $45,655 - $68,485.
