Job Summary

The Learning & Development Supervisor is a key member of the St. John's Community Health team, responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical staff. This role involves developing and maintaining training materials, conducting training sessions, and ensuring that all staff are proficient in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and implement training programs to meet the needs of clinical staff, including training on clinical procedures, patient care, and organizational policies.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and workshops on various topics, including customer service and SJCH's culture of quality.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with clinic managers to identify training needs and develop customized training plans, and provide guidance and support to employees seeking educational advancement.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain training records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinate and manage the tuition reimbursement program.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, counseling, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team, including responsibilities such as overseeing team performance, providing mentorship, and ensuring project goals are met.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of career development theories and practices, teaching methodologies, and e-learning software, as well as effective written and oral communications, creative writing, public speaking, listening, presentation, group facilitation, influencing, and proficiency with presentation applications.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred (read, write, speak with fluency).
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees Career Development Coach and the Learning & Development Coordinators and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the team.
